Also we are sure you will enjoy the new bands that we have for you. So come with your dancing shoes on and ready to kick up your heels.
Cassandra McMillan lives in Onanole, MB with her parents Dwight and Joanne and twin brothers. She sings and plays guitar and we are really looking forward to hearing her.
Lori Larsen is a well known performer in the Erickson area. She has been singing forever. Lori performs at the Nordic Inn in Erickson as well as other parts of Manitoba. She does Karakoe and has lots of people singing who would never have ever sung if it were not for her. Thanks Lori for encouraging people to sing, it is good for the soul.
Alysa, Logan and Meghan McKillop two sisters and their brother live in the Onanole area. Brother Logan backs up the girls as they harmonize together. They have been performing for many years at school functions etc. and we are very happy to have them on the Jamboree stage.

The Generation Gap has 4 members. We play classic rock. The Generation Gap has been around for about 12 years, the present group for about 4 years. The original band was Called Donavon and the Wanders. We formed in the 1960 era out of Kelwood Manitoba. The Wanders re-grouped in 1996 and changed the name to the present, Generation Gap. Our music today is 60’s through 80’s. Present members are all from the Winnipeg area.

The Smokey Hollow Band
As most of you know the Smokey Hollow Band is made up five Onanole musicians who are always ready to share their talents with any community event all year around. Grant Carter, Cam McKillop, Dennis Richards, Geordie and Barry Kelly were the first band to ever volunteer at the Jamboree so this will be their 11th year and we could not hold the Jamboree without them. They just keep getting better and better. They also have assisted with the building of the stage, used their sound equipment etc.etc. Grant is also vice president of our Jamboree committee and he and his wife Val, committee member also, work extra hard for the Little Valley Jamboree.
Cooked and Done and the Road Crew
George Kreiser and Russ Andrews have been singing together for 16 years. They are loved wherever they go. They have a road crew made up of their wives, Shawnda and Bonnie. Also in the Road Crew are George’s sister Joan and partner Les Beverly. They also have fans in every town they perform in. George and Russ ran the Sing for Kids program for 3 years running and raised lots of money for the Childrens Ward of the Brandon General Hospital. We were happy to meet up with them in 1999 and they have been a part of our Jamboree ever since. They work with us on the Jamboree committee and promote the Jamboree all year. For the past few years Joan has been singing “ 26 cents” by the Wilkinsons and passes the hat for “26 “cent donations. All money raised is given to the recipients for fun money for them. We are happy that they are back with us in 2008. Check out their website www.cookedanddone.ca

They step dance and play violin. We hope they will be able to come back again this year to perform for us. George works with young people so is always willing to help out with any fundraiser for children and we are happy to have him and his family back at the Jamboree.

The White Lightning Band also comes from Kenosota. Ronnie Anderson has been playing for people’s dancing and listening entertainment for years. He was with the Jamboree for a few years in Polonia. This will be the first time for him to perform in Erickson so we look forward to his performance.
